Classroom Notes

We are definitely down to only a few days.  The end is now in sight.  The kids are excited and ready for summer.  I am excited too, but I am also a little sad.  The kids have been great this year, and I have really enjoyed them. They have grown so much and are ready for 5th grade.  I will miss them, but I am proud to pass them on!

Just a few things as we wrap up the year:  Please help in making sure that library books and textbooks are returned to school.  Everything must be accounted for.  I would also like to ask for help with finishing the project and the reading log.  Some of the students need a good grade.  These are the some of the last grades I will be taking, and I want the kids to finish on a good note.

I still have lots of things plan for this week.  On Friday afternoon we will be having an Author's Picnic.  The kids will be sharing their stories that they have been working on.  Most stories are getting close to done, but we still have a lot or work to do.  Please feel welcomed to join us.

We will be going back to the Chesapeake Bay for the remainder of the year.  We are going to discuss the Blue Crab and we are going to be making t-shirts.  I am asking the kids to bring in a white t-shirt by Monday to use.

In math, we are finishing up Unit 12 and doing a fun activity with tangrams.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.  Thank you for sharing them with me.

P.S.  Thank you to all those that did Clean the Bay.  We definitely made a difference!
